Patricia Mary Wierer, 75, Casco, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025. She was born on September 19, 1949, to the late Robert and Bernice (Moreau) Jacobs. Raised in Bay Settlement on the Jacobs family farm. Graduated from Casco High School in 1967 with the last graduating class of Casco High School. She later got married to John Wierer on September 28, 1968. Patricia worked various jobs but retired from The Net Co. in Algoma in 2014.
Pat’s lifelong passion and addiction was for collecting novelty salt and pepper shakers. Inspired by her beloved Grandma Leona Jacobs, she began her journey with a Dutch Delft Blue boy and girl set that would spark a collection of an incredible 2,700 sets over her lifetime! Notably, her pride and joy was the coveted #1 National Convention set from Kansas City in 2019. She served as treasurer of the Wisconsin chapter of the Salt & Pepper Club for six years. Pat made wonderful memories and friendships along the way.
An avid seamstress, Pat spent over 20 years attending sewing classes with Del Priebe at NWTC. Throughout her life, she turned fabric into love, crafting outfits for countless occasions—some of which graced fashion shows—and creating cherished items for her family, such as the wedding dresses for both her daughter’s, bridesmaids’ dresses for multiple other weddings, baby blankets, quilts, and a small patch of Cabbage Patch dolls. Her goddaughters were particularly lucky to receive life-size Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, a testament to her thoughtfulness and artistry.
Pat dedicated endless hours to researching and publishing a book of her family tree, ensuring that the roots of her family history were cherished and preserved. As a member of the Kewaunee County Historical Society for 20 years, she shared her passion for history while working at the Jail Museum.
Pat also delighted in creating lasting memories with her children during vacations, which she re-created with her grandchildren through documenting these adventures in treasured scrapbooks filled with her own travel journal entries for each vacation. She relished passing on those experiences to her grandchildren, each page a testament to her love for family togetherness.
Documenting her family didn’t stop with vacations, many knew her affectionately as “Patsy Harmann,” a nod to her love of capturing family gatherings through photographs.
A faithful member of St. Peter Catholic Church - Lincoln for over 50 years, Pat played an active role in her spiritual community by helping to reinstate the rosary recitation before mass, singing in the choir, and volunteering for countless funeral meals. Her kindness extended into the Koinonia Community and the Luxemburg-Casco prayer chain, where she touched lives through her unwavering faith and support.
