Pearl (Kassner) Erickson

July 23, 1924 — October 28, 2012

Pearl Ann Erickson, 88, passed away at her home near Casco on October 28, 2012.

Pearl was born in Casco, on July 23, 1924, she was the daughter of Edward and Frances Kassner, Casco.

On June 25, 1949, she married Elvington A. Erickson the son of Alric and Bess Erickson Egg Harbor.

She graduated from Casco High School in 1941 and attended Cosmetology School in Green Bay.

Pearl and Dee settled into the Kassner home and purchased the orchard from Pearl's parents, later expanding the acreage to become Erickson Orchards Inc., located between Casco and Luxemburg at Hillside. Known as hardworking orchard owners, Pearl and Dee grew cherries and apples and sold to wholesale and retail supermarkets in Wisconsin markets as well as "pick your own" until they retired in 1978.

Pearl and Dee were members of Master Farmers of Wisconsin and several horticultural organizations. Pearl was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her four sons, Leif & Jennifer, Sister Bay, Randel, Casco, Marc & Diane, Casco, and Jon & Carol, Green Bay, eight of her beloved grandchildren, Dylan Payne, Jesse Payne, of Milwaukee, Jasie (Eric) Zarnoth, Minneapolis, MN, Jocelyn (Joe) Majerus, Ely, MN and Alyssa Erickson and fiancAC. Russell Treadway Green Bay, Grace, Lauren and Mitchel Erickson also of Green Bay, four great grandchildren Eland Zarnoth and Stig Majerus, Nelson Majerus and Liam Treadway, In-Laws Miriam Erickson, Fish Creek, Wisconsin, and Frederick Erickson, San Francisco, California and Ralph Erickson of Malibu, California, Robert Schneider, Kewaunee, Wisconsin, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elvington (Dee) and her sister Fran Schneider.

The family would like to thank Judy Mindak, Jody Rasmussen, Amanda Olson and the Staff of SouthernCare Hospice.

Visitation and Services will be held at Community Congregational Church, 502 Center St, Kewaunee, Wisconsin. Visitation from 4:30 pm until on 7:00 pm Friday, November 2, 2012 and from 10:00 am until services at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Interment will be at Blossomberg Cemetery, in Peninsula State Park near Fish Creek at a later date.
