Ronald "Ron" Rudolph Staats, 79, of Algoma, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026. He was born in Chicago, December 24, 1946, to the late Rudolph and Marge Staats. Ron married Barbara Johnson on June 9, 1990, at Arlington Heights, IL.

Ron enjoyed spending time fishing, sharing his corny jokes, and going out for a Hamm's beer. A true handyman, Ron could fix just about anything with a little creativity and his skills. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his wife Barbara; their children Angela (Milton), Kimberly (Tim); grandchildren, Jacob (Khaki), Dylan, and Devin (Natalia); great grandson, Archer; niece Julie; and nephew Jimmy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Marge Staats; his son Billy, and sister Carol (Jim).
