Ronald D. Worachek, 74, passed away in Kewaunee on December 8, 2023, after a 9-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on August 6, 1949, in Casco, WI to the late Loddie and Martha (Ray) Worachek. After high school Ronald joined the U.S. Army where he served proudly in Vietnam and then continued in the U.S. Army Reserves until military retirement age. When he came home from Vietnam, he worked at Leyse Aluminum / Volrath in Kewaunee for 40+ years until his retirement.

Ronald was an active man, he enjoyed going on bus trips and attending meetings of all the local clubs he belonged to.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #3392, here he also spent time serving as the poppy chairperson. He was also a member of the Casco American Legion Post 319, Algoma AmVets Post 42, the Knights of Columbus Council #2984 where he held the Grand Knight position.

Ronald is survived by his brothers, Joe, Donald, and Francis, all of Kewaunee; sisters, Theresa (Greg) Denil, Kathy (Joe) Gioe, and Ann Worachek, all from Kewaunee; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Martha and Loddie Worachek, and great-niece Alexis Melnarik.

Visitation will take place at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Kewaunee on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 3:00-7:00 pm with a military service at 6:45 pm followed by a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 10:00-11:30 am at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Dillenburg and Fr. Andrew Kurz concelebrating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery with full Military Rites. You may share your messages of condolence online at KinnardFCS.com.
