Russell F. Wanek

Russell F. Wanek, 72, Kewaunee, died on Thursday, August 31, 2017. He was born on December 8, 1944 to Burton and Ann (Jordan) Wanek. Russell graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1964.

Russell worked several jobs in the Green Bay area before becoming the owner of Burt's Uptown Mart where many of his customers became his friends.

Survivors include his daughter Sara (Brandon) Bruckman, Milwaukee and three grandchildren: Hannah, Emma and Calvin Bruckman. His brother Roger (Char) Wanek, Green Bay. Nephews Tim and Brian Wanek. He was preceded in death by his parents Burt and Ann Wanek.

Friends may call at Buchanan Funeral Home in Kewaunee from 9:30 am Tuesday, September 5 until the time of services at 11:00 am with Dcn. Chuck Agnew officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
