Sharon J. (Anderson) Zemke

Sharon J. Zemke, age 76, died peacefully July 31, 2018 in Kewaunee, WI. Sharon was born December 6, 1941 in New Richmond, WI, the daughter of Elert and Hazel (Davis) Anderson. Sharon was the youngest of 6 children. She married William Zemke Sr. They moved to Kewaunee in the early 1970’s where Sharon became an active member in the Legion Auxiliary and an intricate part of the annual Youth Government Day. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her pride and joy were her two grandsons Tanner and Colton. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing. Sharon also enjoyed relaxing at their fishing cabin, making trips to their hunting shack, cheering on the Packers & Badgers, playing heated board and card games with her grandsons, working cross word puzzles and simply enjoying time and laughing with family and friends. Sharon will be missed, but never forgotten. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elert and Hazel Anderson; sisters, Beverly (John) Beebe, Marlys Anderson; brother, Percy Anderson; brother-in-law, Don Rogers; mother-in-law, Geneva Zemke and father-in-law, Alfred Zemke. Sharon is survived by her husband, William Zemke Sr.; son, William Zemke Jr; grandsons, Tanner and Colton Zemke; sister, Betty Rogers; brother, Richard (Pam) Anderson; sister-in-law, Joanne Anderson; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Buchanan Funeral Home – 1425 Ellis St, Kewaunee, WI 54216 from 2:00pm until 4:30 pm and service to follow the visitation.
