Verna Hallet , 88, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Caraton Commons Assisted Living surrounded by her family. She was born March 26, 1934, to Martin and Laura (Vincent) Theys.

Verna attended Luxemburg High School. She married Glen Hallet on January 31, 1951, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Tonet.

Verna worked hard all her life as a dairy farmer, office worker at Plumbers Woodwork Company, Schreiber Foods, Pay and Save and the State of Alaska in Anchorage, AK. She enjoyed working and made several wonderful friends throughout her career.

Throughout her life, Verna enjoyed genealogy, traveling, photography, painting scenic pictures, quilting, beading, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children Wayne (Mary) Hallet, Luxemburg, Steve (Patti) Hallet, Green Bay, Mark (Michele Kolasinski) Hallet, NC, Christine (Timothy) Cain, New Franken, Randy (Julie) Hallet, Casco, Sue Kinjerski, Casco, Sharon (Shelley) Dallmann, ID; her sisters Rosie (Ronnie) Ropson, Luxemburg, Rita Moens, Luxemburg, Lucy Greening, Luxemburg, Cathy (Jackie) Jacobs, New Franken; her brother in-laws Bill (Pat) Hallet, FL and Jim (Dottie) Hallet, Green Bay; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Hallet, he preceded her in death on August 18, 1969; an infant daughter, Mary, son John (Jack); in-laws Veronica and Alvin Jonet; her parents and in-laws Willam Sr. and Viola Hallet; niece Judy Jonet and nephew Craig Jacobs.

Visitation will be held at St. Killian's Catholic Church, New Franken, on Saturday, July 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Carlo Villaluz (Fr. Lukee) officiating. Burial will follow at St. Odile Cemetery in Thiry Daems. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Casco assisted the family.
