Verna L. (Robinson) Pontzloff, Kewaunee, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026. She was born on August 19, 1944, to the late Otto Sr. & Lucille (Mott) Robinson in the Town of Carlton. Verna married George E. Pontzloff Jr. on October 19, 1963, at St John's Catholic Church in Krok, WI. She was employed at Mirro Aluminum for over 30 years until they closed down. She then worked at NEW Plastics until she retired.
Verna loved listening to polka music, dancing and going on bus tours with Jerry Voelker and the Jolly Gents, she also liked the Mark Jirikovec Band. She enjoyed drinking with her neighbors and playing cards with her family. Verna also enjoyed doing Word Searches, reading books and coloring. Verna especially loved spending time with her grandsons and great grandson.
Verna is survived by her daughter Lisa (Jeff) Voelker, Baileys Harbor; two grandsons Jacob (Karley) Voelker, Green Bay, Joshua (fiancé Meagan Ybarra) Voelker, De Pere; and one great grandson Bennett Voelker, Green Bay. She is further survived by four brothers Dennis Robinson, Otto Jr (Jean) Robinson, Dale (Mary) Robinson, Ken (Tina) Robinson, all from Kewaunee; three sisters Donna Thompson-Krohn, Denmark, Julie (Steve) Sinkula, Kewaunee, Mary (Jim) Roethle, Two Rivers; two sisters-in-law Janice Robinson, Kewaunee and Patricia Seiler, Algoma; brother-in-Law Jim Pontzloff, Sturgeon Bay; and many nieces and nephews.
Verna is preceded in death by husband George Pontzloff Jr.; parents Otto Sr. & Lucille Robinson; father-in-law and mother-in-law George & Lillian (Michaletz) Pontzloff; brothers Virgil, Gerald, & Gene Robinson; three brothers-in-law Michael Thompson, Carl Krohn & Paul Seiler; one sister-in-law Darlene Pontzloff; two nephews Michael Robinson, and Steven Thompson; and one niece, Dawn Wunning.
A visitation will take place Monday, March 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church (St. Therese Parish) in Pilsen, WI. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial in the Carlton Volunteer Cemetery.
Special thanks to Bob & Lynn Thompson for all the things you did for mom. Thank you to all that helped take care of mom in her final weeks, Unity Hospice and Kewaunee Health Services for making her comfortable towards the end.
