Vernice Deprey, 95, Algoma, passed away Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Algoma Long Term Care Unit.
She was born June 28, 1916 in Tonet to Desire and Eva (Moreau) Wilquet. She married Joseph Deprey on November 22, 1932 in Tonet. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1991.
Vernice was an active member of her church, walked 5 miles a day, enjoyed gardening. spending time with her family and making meals for them.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandy (Richard) Vertz, New Franken; grandchildren, Rich (Susan) Vertz, Amy (Jason) Hoffmann, Gary, Mike, Lisa, Crystal; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Deprey; a brother, George (Ida) Wilquet; sisters, Eunice (Russell) Bertrand, Lorraine (Jack) Vogel.
Friends may call at Wiesner-Massart Funeral Home, Algoma on Wednesday, November 30 from 3 to 7pm. Prayer service on Wednesday at 6pm. Visitation Thursday from 9:30 to 11am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Algoma with 11am Funeral Mass to follow with Fr. Bill Swichtenberg officiating.
