Wayne E. Cherveny

Wayne E. "Cherv" Cherveny, 73, Slinger, WI, formerly of Kewaunee, WI passed away unexpectedly, July 4, 2017 at his home. He was born, in Milwaukee, WI on June 6, 1944 to the late Edward G. and Olive F (Schleis) Cherveny.

Wayne was a graduate of Kewaunee High School class of 1962 and UW Oshkosh. He served our country in the United States Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Everglades from 1964 to 1966.

Wayne is survived by his cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Anna (Forst) Cherveny; maternal grandparents, Anton and Mary (Kalchik) Schleis, other family members and his beloved feline companions.

Visitation at Buchanan Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 until the time of services. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Ken Kinstetter officiating. Internment of the urn will be in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Kewaunee, WI. following the service.

Memorial expressions of sympathy may be made at the funeral home or direct donations to your local Humane Society in Wayne’s name.
