Wayne J. Melnarik

Wayne J. Melnarik, age 66 of Kewaunee entered into eternal life peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at home.  He was born in Denmark to the late Donald and Marion (Kipp) Melnarik.

Wayne worked most of his life with his brother’s family owned Melnarik Concrete business.  He was one of the best finishers around.  He took pride in his work, he strived for perfection in whatever he did.  His lawn and garden were always perfect.  He was a devoted father to his children: Dawn, Jane and Danny.  He enjoyed Brewer games, camping trips and fishing at Sheas Lake with his children.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was blessed with having wonderful neighbors with whom he spent hours visiting. Papa Wayne will surely be missed.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Dawn and fiancé, Jamie Rivers; Jane and Mike Pribek; one son: Danny Melnarik all of Kewaunee; six grandchildren: Emmit; Sawyer and Kellin Pribek; Will; Kati and  Nathan Melnarik and their mother: Missy Melnarik; two brothers: David (Tina) Melnarik, Oconto; Dennis Melnarik, Green Bay; two sisters: Faye (Larry) Willems, DePere and Diane Melnarik, Green Bay and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two granddaughters: Alexis Melnarik; Megan Pribek; one sister-in-law: Donna Melnarik.

Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Sunday June 23 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. by Christal Wavrunek.  Visitation continues on Monday after 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, Stangelville until the time of services.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Fr. Dennis Drury with Fr. Willard VanDeloo
