Carol M. (Kobes-Klimesh) Stuebs

Carol M. (Kobes-Klimesh)-Stuebs , 81 from Kewaunee, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Sunday May 21st, 2023 under hospice care. She was born on October 7th, 1941 at the Two Rivers Municipal Hospital to the late John and Adeline (Assmann) Kobes.

She graduated from Mishicot High School in 1959. After high school she worked in the office at General Telephone Co. in Two Rivers. On October 7, 1961, she married the late Ernest Klimesh, where they operated his homestead farm until 1989.  She also sold Shaklee products where she was a top seller and enjoyed it.

On June 8, 1991 she married the late Reuben Stuebs at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Kewaunee, WI. After their marriage, Carol worked with Reuben operating the farm and was manager at the Algoma Beach Motel.  She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and going out for family gatherings.

She was a lifelong active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Kewaunee.

Survivors include her four children: Brian (Sally) Klimesh; Bruce Klimesh; Mark Klimesh; Janice (Kenneth) Gessert; one sister: Audrey (Donald) Grant.  Three grandchildren: Joshua and Darren Marmes and Valene (D.J.) Meyer and seven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her two husbands; parents; one brother, Allan Kobes and two premature grandchildren.

The family would like to take this time to thank Sharon Richardson Hospice Care for their extraordinary support, comfort, and compassion they gave to our mother in this time of her life.

In respect to Carol’s wishes, a private graveside burial service will take place with family and close friends at 2pm on May 30, 2023 at Riverview Cemetery Kewaunee, WI with Pastor Matthew Sprunger, Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating.  Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services of Kewaunee will be assisting with the arrangements.  Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at 4317 Center Road, Manitowoc, WI 54220.  Online condolence messages may be shared at KinnardFCS.com.
