Erma M. Sisel, 92, of Casco, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2022, with her family at her side. She was born on October 19, 1929, in Namur, to the late Adam and Irene (Baudhuin) Jadin. She graduated from Brussels High school in 1946 and achieved salutatorian of her class at the age of 16. On June 9, 1948, she married Floyd Sisel, at St. Mary's of the Snow Catholic Church in Namur. Erma was a kind and loving wife and mother. Her grandchildren were a very special joy to her. Hobbies included reading, sewing, quilting, playing cards, bingo, and word puzzles.
Erma was employed on several occasions, doing housekeeping, produce canning, packaging and assembly, and as a bus driver. Her most joyful passion though was as a stay-at-home mom caring for her family.
Her husband Floyd passed away in 2015. Erma is survived by her five children: Rick Sisel, Milwaukee, Wendy (Bob) Zaspel, Green Bay, Scott (Katie) Sisel, Minneapolis, Todd Sisel, Luxemburg, Michelle Sisel, Green Bay; three grandchildren, Ryne Zaspel, Jordan and Emily Sisel; two sisters, Vida Jacobs and Mildred Granius; brother-in-law, James (Daune) Sisel and sister-in-law, Diane (Nic) Rabideau.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents, Adam and Irene Jadin; son Perry; sisters and brothers-in-law, Blanche and George Jeanquart, Carole and Roland Englebert, Dick Jacobs, and Bernard Granius; nieces and nephews, Jon Rabideau, John D. Sisel, Phil Jeanquart, Mary Englebert, Pat Granius, and Randy Englebert.
Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco, on Saturday February 26, 2022, from 9-11 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Daniel Schuster officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Erma’s name for organizations supporting people with disabilities.
