Obituary

Joyce M. Wachal, 87, Casco, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022. She was born on March 27, 1935, to the late Matt and Lucy (Bunda) Fiala. She married her husband Charles Wachal Jr. on May 11, 1957, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church – Casco. Together they ran the family dairy farm. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2006. Joyce liked all of her cats, she was an excellent baker and loved her garden. She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Joyce is survived by her daughter Cindy (Dan) Moreau; sister, Pat Ledvina; brother-in-law Norbert Wachal; step-brothers-in-law, Jerome Wachal, Kenneth (Chris) Wachal, John (Debbie) Wachal; step-sister-in-law, Marlene (Glen) Wensley; also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles; 2 infant children; parents, Matt & Lucy Fiala; sister, Betty (Orville) Kudick; brother-in-law, Francis Ledvina; father- and mother-in-law, Charles and Sybille Wachal Sr.; and step-mother-in-law, Kathryn Wachal.

Visitation will be held at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Casco, on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 3-7 pm with a prayer service 6:45 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 9-10:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Church – Casco at 11:00 am with Fr.
