Kenneth J. Tlachac

Kenneth “Ken” John Tlachac , 78, Duvall passed away Monday afternoon, February 20, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born in Door County on August 23, 1944, to the late Edward C. and Jennie M. (Kinnard) Tlachac. On May 25, 1968, he married Julaine “Jill” Jenerjohn and started his family shortly after that. He was the proud father of two accomplished daughters, Keri Tlachac and Kristin (Tlachac) Peterson and he enjoyed being involved in their many personal projects. Ken adored his son-in-law, Patrick (Kristin) Peterson and was extremely proud of his grandsons, Samuel and Jackson Peterson.

Ken was good at everything he set his mind to. In his earlier years, he enjoyed 15 years playing for the Maplewood Mets as a left-handed pitcher. He also enjoyed entertaining as a talented musician, playing many different instruments in different bands. His love of the outdoors was evident in all aspects of his life, including camping, hunting and fishing. Ken was an accomplished wood worker and his deer plaques and signs are in the homes of many. Ken worked for the State of Wisconsin for almost 40 years as a surveyor. His later years involved many hours spent with his daughter Kristin watching his grandsons play football, baseball, and band concerts as well as many hours helping his daughter Keri with taxidermy projects. In addition to those things, he and his wife Julaine enjoyed camping for 48 years with friends and family.

Survivors include, Julaine; and their two daughters, Keri Tlachac and Kristin (Patrick) Peterson; two grandsons, Samuel and Jackson Peterson; brother and sisters, Al (Donna) Tlachac, Veronica M. Boucher, and Rosemary (Roger) Beirl; and sister-in-law, Marjorie Tlachac.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jennie Tlachac; Brothers, Jim (Myra) Tlachac, Ed Tlachac, and Francis Tlachac; Sisters, Veronica Ann Tlachac and Genevieve (John) Buhr; Mother-in-Law & Father-in-Law Al Jenerjohn and Clara Peterson; Brothers-in-Law, Hamlin Boucher, Jerry Walter, and Glen LeCloux; and nephew Paul Beirl.

Private in life, Ken wished for the same in death. Out of respect for his wishes, a PRIVATE family service will be held at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services in Casco, WI on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, from 4-6 pm with prayer service at 5:30 pm with Deacon Bob Miller.
