Timothy D. Cain

October 16, 1951 — January 17, 2023

New Franken

Timothy D. Cain, 71, New Franken passed away on January 17, 2023, peacefully surrounded by his loving family.  He was born October 16, 1951, to the late Donald and Hazel (Massart) Cain. Tim graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School in 1970.  He married the love of his life, Christine Hallet on October 16, 1976, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Champion. This union of 46 years blessed them with two children, Sharon and Paul. Together they worked side by side, building a life and family they cherished.

Tim was a hard worker and took pride in everything he did.  He had a deep passion for cars, speed, tractors and fixing anything. His love for fixing things transitioned to his career. Tim was a dedicated employee at Dean Foods as a skilled mechanic for 25 years. He developed numerous lifelong friendships during his employment, Corvette and tractor pulling clubs along with endless hobbies.

In 1990, Tim decided to build a 1/2 scale Case Steam Engine in his basement, followed by years of building modified tractors, driven by his wife in the tractor pulls. He also tackled a self-rewarding project by restoring a 1972 Corvette, spending countless hours together in the garage with his wife, making sure he had fastest and most polished equipment around.

Tim enjoyed traveling, trying new restaurants, going for rides in his Corvette and most of all spending time with his family.  He took great comfort in knowing his family was happy, safe, healthy, and doing well in life.

Teaching his two grandson’s Joey and Jacob life lessons in the garage, along with passing on his knowledge for mechanics was a treasure. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his wife, children, or grandsons; he was an expert at spoiling them. Family trips over the years were valued and enjoyed by all with memories and laughter to last a lifetime.

Survivors include, his wife Christine Cain of 46 years; children Sharon (Joe) Chervenka, Paul T. Cain (special friend Amber) and grandsons Joey and Jacob Chervenka, all from New Franken. Twin brother Donald (Ethel) Cain, Casco. Brothers- and sisters- in-law, Wayne (Mary) Hallet, Luxemburg, Steve (Patti) Hallet, Green Bay, Mark (Michele Kolasinski) Hallet, NC, Randy (Julie) Hallet, Casco, Sue Kinjerski, Casco, and Sharon (Shelley) Dallmann, ID. Two godchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Donald and Hazel Cain, In-laws Glenn and Verna Hallet, godparents Earl and Grace Dery; grandparents Gus and Helen Massart; Timothy and Nell Cain; several aunts, uncles, and friends.
